Oakland's Brooklyn Basin Development Set to Break Ground!

It’s been on many people’s radar and more and more clients of mine having been asking me for an update on Oakland’s largest proposed housing project known as Brooklyn Basin. After what seems like years of remediation and site preparation work and very few news updates, we finally have a start date in sight. According to the developer Signature Development Group LLC, the first housing development is scheduled to break ground next month in April.

The $1.5 billion waterfront project is poised to be one of Oakland’s boldest construction endeavors in decades and will also be the single largest active development in Oakland. The first phase will consist of a 241 unit apartment complex, just one piece of the total proposed 3,100 residential units.
